As an affiliate, i’m constantly asked if it’s possible to get pokerstars rakeback, and quite simply, the answer is no. Pokerstars rakeback is absolutely impossible because of the way rakeback works. You see, when a poker affiliate refers a player to a poker site, the poker site in turn gives some of the profit that they get from the customer back to the affiliate.
So using Full Tilt as an example, if an affiliate refers a player to Full Tilt Poker, Full Tilt return up to 35% of the referrals rake back to the affiliate. Full Tilt also permit the poker affiliate to give up to 27% back to the player. This is commonly named rakeback, or less popularly, poker cashback. The reason that Pokerstars rakeback is impossible is very simple.
Pokerstars don’t give poker affiliates a share of the profits that they earn from referrals as do most other poker sites, so affiliates don’t actually get any regular income to give rakeback out of. Pokerstars only pay affiliates a one off commission fee for each customer sent.In my opinion, this isn’t actually a bad thing, as the less incentive people have to play at Pokerstars the better, due to Pokerstars having the most difficult opposition in poker at their tables.
After all, even though we all enjoy playing poker, i’m sure everybody will agree that we prefer to win, so playing at a poker site with the most difficult opposition to win against really doesn’t make any sense at all.
Especially once you take into account that the poker sites and networks with easier opposition also support rakeback, so you actually have two ways to gain money. To be honest, in my opinion, although i dabble in other forms of online gambling from time to time, my number one love is poker, but if i were a poker player who only had the choice of playing at Pokerstars with its mind numbingly tight opposition and lack of rakeback, i’d probably stop playing online poker altogether and learn how to win at online roulette.
